Coagulant
Coagulants are specialized chemical formulations engineered to destabilize suspended colloidal particles and dissolved organic matter in water, initiating the primary phase of industrial and municipal water purification.
Key Features
- • Charge Neutralization: Operates by neutralizing the negative electrical charges carried by microscopic impurities (such as silt, clay, bacteria, and organic color compounds) that naturally repel each other and stay suspended.
- • Micro-Floc Formation: Once the repulsive forces are neutralized, the microscopic particles immediately begin to attract and clump together into tiny, visible masses called micro-flocs.
- • Versatile Chemical Range: Available in both inorganic metal salts (such as Aluminum Sulfate/Alum and Polyaluminum Chloride/PAC) and high-charge organic polymers tailored for specific water pH profiles and turbidity levels.
Applications & Uses
- Application Deployed as a critical initial dosing chemical in Water Treatment Plants (WTP), Effluent Treatment Plants (ETP), and Sewage Treatment Plants (STP) to clear turbid water prior to downstream sedimentation and filtration stages.
